Anton. — Freelance Frontend Developer

frontend developer for hire.

Most days I build React and Vue frontends and custom WordPress themes at Shed Collective, a design studio. The rest goes to freelance: a landing, a theme, a Telegram bot, or the one thing nobody on your team wants to touch.

01What I do

What you can hire me for

Pick one or mix them. Every job starts with a short call and a written estimate.

  1. 01

    WordPress, but premium

Custom themes coded from scratch, Gutenberg blocks editors enjoy using, clean ACF setups, headless WP with a React or Vue front. No Elementor, no 40 plugins, no six-second load.

Custom themesGutenberg blocksHeadless WPMigrations & rescues

  2. 02

    Web apps & SPAs

Dashboards, SaaS frontends, internal tools and MVPs on React or Vue. Typed, tested where it matters, and built to be handed over without a 40-page manual.

  3. 03

    Telegram bots

Support bots, lead capture, order flows, internal automations and Mini Apps. The kind people don't rage-quit after the second message.

  4. 04

    Landings & performance

Pixel-perfect pages from Figma with real attention to Core Web Vitals, semantic HTML and SEO basics. Or a speed audit of the site you already have.

03How it works

How this plays out

Ping me. Email or Telegram, a few sentences about the project is enough. I'll ask the questions that matter.

Scope & estimate. A short call to align on the work, then a written scope with a timeline and a price. No multi-stage interviews or whiteboard riddles — we just look at the project and start.

Build in the open. A staging link from day one and regular updates, so you watch progress instead of asking for it.

Ship & support. Launch, handover notes, and a support window so nothing is left hanging.

Ways to work together

Fixed price for landings, themes, bots and MVPs. Hourly for audits, fixes and "can you look at this?" moments. Long-term inside your team, part-time or full, agencies and white-label welcome.

I reply within 24h, usually faster.

04Work

The NDA wall

Most of it was built for agencies and their clients, so names and screenshots stay off this page. What I can show is what changed after I was done. Ask for a walkthrough and I'll go through the relevant ones on a call.

  1. 01Headless WP · Next.js · Faust.js · WPGraphQL

    A multi-locale headless platform for a global travel-tech brand.

Built and scaled the flagship marketing site for nice try on Headless WordPress, Next.js and Faust.js across six locales. Custom Gutenberg blocks feed WPGraphQL and Polylang without page-builder bloat, while SSR image preload tuning and server-rendered archive pagination keep Lighthouse performance at 98 and Ahrefs audits clean.

  2. 02WordPress · Native Gutenberg · Custom Blocks · ACF

Custom Gutenberg sites that editors can update without breaking the design.

No Elementor, no WPBakery, no thirty-plugin stack. For nice try, nice try and nice try, I built bespoke WordPress themes on native Gutenberg and custom blocks wired straight to their Figma tokens — giving editors fast, multilingual pages that stay green on Core Web Vitals.

  3. 03React Native · Expo · TypeScript · WCAG 2.2

A swipe-driven video app to get teenagers into orchestral music.

Built the cross-platform discovery app for nice try on React Native and Expo across Web, iOS and Android. Engineered autoplaying vertical video feeds, scrubbable timelines, an interactive sound builder, Universal Links handoff, and full WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility.

  4. 04Vue · PHP · Elasticsearch · SCSS

Frontend redesign and interactive widgets for a global leadership advisory firm.

Worked on the main corporate platform for nice try, shipping the frontend redesign across articles, consultant directories, interactive comparison reports, and scroll-driven widgets on top of a Vue, PHP and Elasticsearch stack.

  5. 05Vue 3 · Nuxt 3 · Storybook · TypeScript

A reading and story-discovery platform built from scratch and moved to Nuxt 3.

Originated the frontend architecture and Storybook component library for nice try, then led the migration from Nuxt 2 to Nuxt 3 without pausing product releases.

  6. 06Technical SEO · Ahrefs · SSR · Performance

Directory load times cut from 4.9 s to 0.6 s and Ahrefs health brought back from 36.

The talent agency platform for nice try was timing out crawlers and rendering zero artist links in initial HTML. I cut database and CDN queries from 2,843 to 206, added server-rendered fallback HTML so all 179 artists indexed immediately, canonicalized duplicate sort URLs, and cleared 3,300+ missing alt warnings.

  7. 07React Router · GSAP · Lenis

This site, with a letter that flies.

The A you have been scrolling past is an SVG path pulled out of the font file at build time and morphed with GSAP along the way. No canvas, no WebGL, no library for the effect itself. The colophon at the bottom lists the rest.

05About

Not a bio. A character sheet.

Hey, I'm Anton. Frontend developer with 7+ years of shipping real products: React and Vue apps, WordPress sites that don't feel like WordPress, and Telegram bots that get used every day.

Day-to-day I work with Shed Collective, a design & dev studio. If your project fits, I can bring the whole team in. If not, I'm happy to take it on solo, short or long.

Off the clock: new web APIs, arguing about state management, and whatever’s on top of my Steam library. Need a Player 2? Hit me up.

06FAQ

Things people ask before hiring me

What does it cost?
Depends on scope. Landings and bots are usually fixed-price; apps and long-term work are hourly or monthly. Send a few lines about the project and you’ll get a written estimate.
Are you available right now?
The status at the top of the page is real and I keep it updated. If I'm booked, I'll tell you the earliest start date instead of over-promising.
Do you do design too?
I don't design from scratch, but I turn Figma into pixel-perfect code and I'll flag UX issues along the way. Need a designer? I know good ones.
Can you work with our agency, white-label?
Yes, and I do it a lot. You keep the client relationship, I deliver the build. NDAs are fine.
How do we communicate?
Telegram or email for quick things, calls when it matters. You get a staging link from day one and updates without having to chase me.
What happens after launch?
Every project includes a support window for fixes. After that: hourly, or a small monthly retainer for ongoing tweaks and updates.
Which languages do you speak?
English, Polish and Russian. Pick whichever is comfortable — same me in all three.
Can we run you through a 4-stage interview and a live-coding test first?
Please don't. I'm a contractor you bring in to ship work, not a full-time hire grinding LeetCode. Happy to hop on a short call, walk you through production code I've written, or start with a small paid task on your actual repo so we both see how we work.

Got a project?
Say hi.

A project, a half-formed idea, or a WordPress site that needs rescuing. Email is best, Telegram is faster. You hear back within 24h.
